The Mycological Society of America s a scientific society dedicated to advancing the science of mycology - the study of fungi of all kinds, including mushrooms, molds, truffles, yeasts, lichens, plant pathogens, and medically important fungi. MSA organizes the annual meeting and offers a student travel competition.

Elsevier's journal Fungal Ecology is sponsoring the symposium "Fungi in a Changing World." A special issue on this symposium will be published in Fungal Ecology, and will be coordinated by the symposium chairs.
